The first live Family Feud slots were introduced at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas back in 2001. The MGM actually had an entire room designed around the Family Feud slot machines, complete with a rotating stage, large overhead screens, and a statue of then-host Louie Anderson. Only a year later, Anderson made his departure from the show and MGM scrapped their special Family Feud slots area.

Gaming giant IGT then purchased the licensing for the Family Feud slots game, played around with the format a bit, and re-released the game in both its modern form and a vintage incarnation featuring the first host, Richard Dawson. MGM was no longer the only Family Feud slots casino, but the declining popularity of the game show itself translated to fewer orders for its spin-off slot game. As a result, no Family Feud online slots have yet been made.

Family Feud Slots Review

There are actually three variations of the Family Feud slot machine, though all of them have five reels, 15 paylines, and a fixed betting denomination of a nickel. High rollers should be pleased to hear, though, that they can bet up to five coins per line for a max bet of 75 coins or $3.75/spin. Though it's hard to find a Family Feud slots casino that still offers the large banks, if you look in the right places you might still find one that's plugged into IGT's Megajackpot, making the top prize worth well over $1 million.

While we wish that Family Feud online slots existed, we'll settle for the variety offered by the live game. By that we mean that players can choose between a single stand-alone Family Feud slot machine with both a free spin and a pick and win feature, a multi-deck video poker version of the Family Feud slots, and the full-sized respin version of the game with a multi-machine bank feature. All of the games offer win animations that include the game show's signature trivia boxes.

Will we ever see Family Feud online slots? It's hard to say, though the virtual remakes of games like Deal or No Deal and Wheel of Fortune have us hopeful. In the meantime, you can still find a few stray games at Family Feud slots casinos like its original home, the MGM Grand. We rate this worthwhile find 9 out of 10.
